Uke2

I’m super excited to share this one with you guys.

A few weeks ago, someone on the Librarians with Ukes FaceBook group asked what everyone’s favorite action song is. I immediately thought, “That’s easy! Greg and Steve’s  ‘Bob Till You Drop.’ I can’t play it on the ukulele, though.” That made me sad, so I had to sit down with the recording and the uke until I had it figured out. I used to play the Greg and Steve recording for story times all the time, but I haven’t in a while, since I started playing ukulele. This past week I’ve played it for a few classes for the first time, and the reception has been great.

A couple of things before I give you the chords. During the “Time to stand up” parts, I just play notes on the 2nd string (the E string) It’s just the third, fourth, fifth and sixth frets. You’ll see what I mean in the video.

At the very end, on the “And that’s the end” I play the same string, but the notes are the 3rd, then the 4th, then 3rd, then the 5th fret)

Ok, time for the chords!

And that’s the end

Ok, so I have two videos to share. The first one is a group of kids doing the motions with the Greg and Steve recording.

And here, is the ukulele one. My son is helping me out with the dancing. I was still figuring it all out, and I messed up a lot of the lyrics, especially on the jiggle verse, but you’ll get the general idea.

So that’s it! If I can explain anything better, please let me know!
